| dc.description | The objetive of the research was to make a study of the tourist potential for sustainable development in rural areas of Pedernales Canton. The research was literature, descriptive field, which developed in the rural parishes of the canton Pedernales. A methodological procedure was divided into three stages: situational analysis of rural parishes of the canton Pedernales, market assessment of the tourism potential of rural areas and developing strategies to promote development of rural tourism. At diagnosis, political, environmental, geographic, economic and tourist information Pedernales rural parishes of the canton was characterized. Subsequently tourism resources were characterized by the application of data collection sheets and on the methodological reference secondary sources of research in the sector. The market evaluation possible to determine the supply and demand as well as the determination of the potential applying a Strategic SWOT matrix. For structuring strategies are used as the basis development plans PLANDETUR 2020 and the National Plan of Good Living 2013-2017 by an expert consultation strategies are determined by the proposition eight and twelve programs such tourist projects . The investigation showed that the canton Pedernales has a variety of tourist resources found mainly in the rural area and has potential that if harnessed and developed could become one of the main rural tourism products in the region and the country. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de la investigación fue elaborar un estudio de las potencialidades turísticas para el desarrollo sostenible del área rural del cantón Pedernales. La investigación fue bibliográfica, descriptiva y de campo, la cual se desarrolló en las parroquias rurales del cantón Pedernales. Se estructuró un procedimiento metodológico en tres etapas: diagnóstico situacional de las parroquias rurales del cantón Pedernales, evaluación de mercado de las potencialidades turísticas de la zona rural y elaboración de las estrategias para promover el desarrollo del turismo rural. En el diagnóstico, se caracterizó información política, ambiental, geográfica, económica y turística de las parroquias rurales del cantón Pedernales. Posteriormente se caracterizaron los recursos turísticos a través de la aplicación de fichas de recolección de datos y tomando como referente metodológico fuentes secundarias de investigaciones realizadas en el sector. La evaluación de mercado permitió determinar la oferta y la demanda, así como también la determinación de las potencialidades aplicando una matriz DAFO estratégico. Para la estructuración de las estrategias se utilizó como base los planes de desarrollo PLANDETUR 2020 y el Plan Nacional del Buen vivir 2013 – 2017, mediante una consulta de expertos se determinaron las estrategias a través de la proposición de ocho programas y doce proyectos de índole turística. La investigación demostró que el cantón Pedernales posee una variedad de recursos turísticos que se encuentran principalmente en la zona rural y tiene potencialidades que si se aprovechan y desarrollan podrían convertirlo en uno de los principales productos turísticos rurales de la región y el país. | es_ES |
