dc.descriptionThe present research work was fulfilled during the dry season of the 2013 in the Field of teaching, research and vinculation conventional at the campus of the ESPAM MFL. The aim was to determine the influence of distance of plantationin the production of four varieties of sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) in the Carrizal Valley, using a full random block design with a bifactorial arrangement with three blocks. For the statistical analys of the variables they were subjected to verification with tukey, the economic analys was established by the CIMMYT. Was statistical analized the weight of the tuber (kg), number of tubers/plant, length of guides (cm), diameter of tubers (cm) and number of guides per plant. These once evaluated statistically show up significant differences. The treatments that result more favorable for the factors in study were treatment 6, variety Anaranjado 1m x 0,3m, treatment 1 Guayaco morado 1m x 0,5 that economically gave the best return, for each dollar of investment returns 1,48. About the sensorial test, the guayaco variety had the best acceptancees_ES
dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación se realizó durante la época seca del 2013 en la Unidad de Docencia, Investigación y Vinculación convencional del campus Politécnico ESPAM- MFL. Tuvo como objetivo Determinar la influencia del distanciamiento de siembra en la producción de cuatro variedades de camote (Ipomea batatas) en el Valle del Rio Carrizal, usando un diseño de bloques completo al azar (DBCA) con arreglo bifactorial con tres bloques. Para el análisis estadístico de las variables fueron sometidas a la comprobación de medias de tukey, el análisis económico fue establecido por el CIMMYT, se analizó estadísticamente las variables, peso de tubérculos por plantas (kg), número de tubérculos/plantas, longitud de guías (cm), diámetro de tubérculos (cm), longitud de tubérculos (cm) y números de guías/plantas, estas al ser evaluadas estadísticamente se presentaron diferencias significativas. Los tratamientos que resultaron más favorables para las variables en estudio fueron el tratamiento 6 variedad Anaranjado 1m x 0,30m, y el tratamiento 1 Guayaco morado 1m x 0,50m que económicamente dio la mejor tasa de retorno marginal que por cada dólar invertido se obtiene una rentabilidad de 1,48 dólar. Con lo que respecta a la prueba sensorial la variedad guayaco morado tuvo mayor aceptabilidad.es_ES
