Descripción : The research was carried out at Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí Manuel Félix López, with the objective of keeping viable in time the fungi Trichoderma harzianum and Trichoderma longibrachiatum using as clay support medium from organic soils. The study factor was the drying time of the clay with different levels of evaluation, which were 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 hours of drying of the carrier, the experimental units were high temperature resistant pots with capacity for 1000 grams. The measured variables were; evaluation of growth during drying, percentage of spore germination, percentage of purity, monitoring of the survival of fungi inoculated in clay and percentage of humidity. The evaluation during drying showed that the fungus Trichoderma harzianum, was superior in the amount of colony forming units at all drying times and remained higher during the 120 days of evaluation. The treatments 1, 2 and 3 hours of clay drying did not meet the quality parameters due to the high moisture contents, as for the treatment 6 hours of drying resulted with the excessively low humidity, which did not allow the majority of the conidia will come alive to the evaluation process; therefore, it was concluded that the best treatment was the 4 hours of clay drying by having an adequate percentage of humidity and a 95 percent viability of the microorganisms.
