dc.description	The present study was carried out between September 2016 and April 2017 on the Campus of the Polytechnic of Manabí ESPAM. The study evaluated the Effect of a bioregulator on the initial development of several fruit species. It aimed to quantify the initial development of soursop, arazá, mamey and orange. For the purpose, the product Basfoliar Algae was applied. Two treatments were tested: with biostimulant and without biostimulant. The bioregulator was applied as drench at fortnightly intervals (13 applications) in doses of 3 ml/L of water. An amount of 500 ml per plant were applied. The variables evaluated were: plant height, stem diameter, root length, number of roots and plant vigor. Statistical analysis was performed using the t-test for paired samples. The results showed that there was a positive effect of the hormonal biostimulant on soursop for the variables plant height (p <0.01), number of leaves (p <0.01), number of roots (p <0, 01) and plant vigor (p <0.05). For arazá, significant differences were found on root length (p <0.05) and number of roots (p <0.01). There was no effect of the hormonal biostimulant application related to any studied variables for mamey. The application of the hormonal biostimulant in orange showed a positive effect on the vegetative growth of plant height (p <0.05) at 190 days after establishment in field.	es_ES
dc.description.abstract	En el Campus Politécnico de la Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí, entre septiembre 2016 y abril 2017, se realizó un estudio sobre el Efecto de un biorregulador en el desarrollo inicial de varias especies frutales, cuyo objetivo fue: cuantificar el desarrollo inicial en plantas de guanábana, arazá, mamey y naranja usando el producto Basfoliar Algae. Se probaron dos tratamientos: con bioestimulante y sin bioestimulante. El biorregulador se aplicó en “drench” con una frecuencia quincenal (13 aplicaciones), en dosis de 3 ml/L de agua. De esta solución se aplicó 500 mL/planta. Las variables respuesta evaluadas fueron: altura de planta, diámetro de tallo, longitud de raíz, número de raíces y vigor vegetal. El análisis estadístico se realizó usando la prueba t para muestras pareadas. Los resultados del estudio permitieron establecer que en el cultivo de guanábana hubo efecto del bioestimulante hormonal en las variables altura de planta (p<0,01), número de hojas (p<0,01), número de raíces (p<0,01) y vigor vegetal (p<0,05). En el cultivo de arazá se encontraron efectos positivos significativos en longitud de raíz (p<0,05) y número de raíces (p<0,01). En el cultivo de mamey no hubo efecto de la aplicación del bioestimulante hormonal en ninguna de las variables morfológicas estudiadas. La aplicación del bioestimulante hormonal en el cultivo de naranja mostró un efecto positivo en el crecimiento vegetativo de altura de planta (p<0,05) a los 190 días después del establecimiento en el campo.	es_ES
