dc.description | The effect of color and weight of Creole eggs on incubation parameters was evaluated. Under randomized block design (DBCA) with six treatments T1 white eggs < 55 gr, T2 white > 55 gr, T3 brown < 55 gr, T4 brown > 55 gr, T5 green < 55 gr, T6 green > 55 gr and three repetitions. The variables percentage fertility, infertility, chick birth, hatchability of fertile chicks, chick weight, weight loss in incubation and chick weight performance were evaluated. The results show that there is no effect of the color and weight of the eggs on the variables evaluated, except for the weight of the chick at birth with the highest weight for T6 47.81 g (p= <0.0114), and in eggs > 55g there were highly significant differences in weight. of chicks at birth (p= <0.0001), although these variables were considered to obtain the weight performance of the chick, but not as a response, however, green eggs stand out with 98.54% fertility and the lowest hatchability index with 64.67 %. If there was an effect of the block for weight loss in incubation, where the eggs from block three (third incubation process) lost more weight 7.99% (p= <0.0444). It is concluded that the color and weight of the Creole eggs do not significantly affect the incubation parameters, but the weight of the chicks is relative to the weight of the eggs, therefore, if you want to obtain larger and heavier chicks, larger eggs should be incubated. weight. | es_ES |
| es_ES |
