| Resumen : | La presente investigación consistió en realizar una evaluación sobre la incidencia de los huertos urbanos para la seguridad alimentaria de las familias que habitan en el Barrio San Lorenzo. Esta se validó a través del método cuantitativo, técnicas de observación y encuestas. Se abordaron tres fases: la primera fase consistió en diagnosticar la situación actual de la seguridad alimentaria en el barrio San Lorenzo mediante la ejecución de encuestas, durante la segunda fase se procedió a la creación de huertos urbanos, para ello, se desarrollaron capacitaciones con el objetivo de brindar a la población involucrada conocimientos esenciales sobre técnicas, cuidados e importancia de este tipo de huertos y durante la tercera fase se realizó un análisis de la incidencia de los huertos urbanos para la seguridad alimentaria de familias en el barrio San Lorenzo, para ello se realizaron encuestas previo al desarrollo de los huertos. Por lo tanto, se obtuvo como resultado que existe desconocimiento sobre la seguridad alimentaria en el sector, sumándose a esto, que pocos hogares sabían sobre la importancia de un huerto urbano y los beneficios que estos brindan. Por tal motivo se concluye que la incidencia de los huertos urbanos aumenta la seguridad alimentaria de las familias del barrio al brindar alimentos saludables y libres de químicos nocivos para la salud, además de que representan un costo bajo, teniendo presente las dificultades económicas que se viven en la actualidad debido a la emergencia sanitaria causada por la COVID-19. |
| Descripción : | The present investigation consisted of carrying out an evaluation on the incidence of urban gardens for the food security of the families that live in the San Lorenzo neighborhood. This was validated through the quantitative method, observation techniques and surveys. Three phases were addressed: the first phase consisted of diagnosing the current situation of food security in the San Lorenzo neighborhood through the execution of surveys, during the second phase urban gardens were created, for which training was developed with the objective of providing the population involved with essential knowledge about techniques, care and importance of this type of orchard and during the third phase an analysis of the incidence of urban orchards for the food security of families in the San Lorenzo neighborhood was carried out, for this Surveys were carried out prior to the development of the orchards. Therefore, it was obtained as a result that there is a lack of knowledge about food security in the sector, adding to this, that few households knew about the importance of an urban garden and the benefits they provide. For this reason, it is concluded that the incidence of urban gardens increases the food security of neighborhood families by providing healthy food free of chemicals harmful to health, in addition to representing a low cost, bearing in mind the economic difficulties that are experienced currently due to the health emergency caused by COVID-19 |
