dc.descriptionThe objective of this research was to study the satisfaction of tourists visiting the Manta destination. After the study, proposals for strategies were designed that will contribute to improving the offer of tourist services in the destination. The research was mixed with a descriptive approach, where the execution of the same 3 phases was proposed, which began with a diagnosis of the canton, where tools and instruments were used to collect bibliographic information. Also, the destination's supply and demand were analyzed taking into account variables for the development of the aforementioned activity. In the second phase, the structure of consumption of goods and services was analyzed to find out the average expenditure of each tourist concerning the existing offer. After the activity carried out, the satisfaction of demand was measured using the survey validated in the HOTELQUAL model. In the third phase, the proposal of strategies was considered based on the deficiencies which negatively affected the service and therefore nine strategies were established, among which stand out; update the knowledge of the operating personnel following the trends that have arisen in the tourist activity and implement tools that allow knowing the tastes and preferences of the demand, and design products and services according to the needs of the demand.es_ES
dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación tuvo como objetivo estudiar la satisfacción de los turistas que visitan el destino Manta, posterior al estudio se diseñaron propuestas de estrategias que contribuirán a la mejora de la oferta de servicios turísticos en el destino. La investigación fue mixta con un enfoque descriptivo, en donde para la ejecución de la misma se plantearon 3 fases las cuales iniciaron con un diagnóstico del cantón, en donde se emplearon herramientas e instrumentos que permitieron recopilar la información bibliográfica. Además, se analiza la oferta y demanda del destino tomando en cuenta variables para el desarrollo de la mencionada actividad. En la segunda fase se analizó la estructura de consumo de bienes y servicios para conocer el gasto promedio de cada turista respecto a la oferta existente. Posterior a la actividad realizada se procedió a medir la satisfacción de la demanda utilizando la encuesta validada en el modelo HOTELQUAL. En la tercera fase se planteó la propuesta de estrategias a partir de las deficiencias las cuales incidieron negativamente en el servicio y por lo tanto se establecieron nueve estrategias entre las cuales destacan; actualizar los conocimientos del personal operativo de acuerdo con las tendencias surgidas en la actividad turística e implementar herramientas que permitan conocer los gustos y preferencias de la demanda; y diseñar productos y servicios acorde a las necesidades de la demanda.es_ES
